Diablo III

     Finally, after 8 years of waiting, I have a chance to back to the World of Diablo AGAIN!!! A big thanks to my brother for borrowing me his ID. First, I have to download game client from this website  http://diablo3gamedownload.com/download-diablo3-client/ and its size is about 7.60GB. After I downloaded the file, I installed it straight away because I cant wait to play this game anymore. So excited!!! 

     The installation requires internet connection as well as playing this game and I have to wait for additional 30++ mb file (7.77GB in total) for the installation to complete. During the installation, you can read the story about Diablo 3 in order to have a better understanding on this game. Now, it is the time to play it. Hooray!!!

9. Solarian Highlands

    Finally the ninth outpost- Solarian Highlands has been released on mid April. As usual, rubies players have the priority to set their outpost compared to normal players and normal players usually need to wait for about one or two weeks before Helio Egg can be found in wild. The images below are official communication from Dragons of Atlantis about new outpost and new troops.

        Solarian Outpost has a special feature compared to other outposts which Homes built in this outpost will increase population by 1.5 times compared to normal Homes. In order to create Solarian Highlands, you must reach level 10 or above, own Helio Egg, own Gaea Spring and control a plain. Helio Egg can be found in Plain level 8 or above and the higher the level, the higher the probability of getting Helio Egg. I have attacked the same plain for about 100 times to get Helio Egg. Pictures below show the establishment of new oupost-Solarian Highlands.

         There are three buildings which can be built in Solarian Highlands City- Homes, Silo and Training Camp, while there are four buildings which can be built in Solarian Highlands Field- Farm, Mine, Quarry and Lumbermill.

BTH 1802 (Fundamentals of Biotechnology) poster

         I am currently taking BTH 1802 as first year second semester unit and I am required to design a poster for the last assignment. The title of this assignment is Genetically Modified Organism and there are 7 marking criteria. This assignment accounts for 20% of total course work which is very heavy. I have spent about 3 weeks for designing this poster and finally it is done on 18/5/2012. The title of my poster is Vistive Gold Soybeans which are produced by Monsanto Company. Monsanto is one of the leading biotechnology companies in the world and I wish I have a chance to work at there in the future. For the first week, I gathered information about the product. For the second week, I edited all the information and this was the hardest part of this assignment. For the third week, I printed it out on A3 size and start designing it. The title of my poster is Vistive Gold soybeans which help to prevent heart disease by having zero trans fat thus I must link my title with my design in order for things to make sense. The heart in the center is actually cookie cutter and I filled it with soybeans, sealed it and stuck it. The fake blood vessels are actually cloth hanger and I bought it from hardware store. I used a lot of plastics, manilla card, paper, glue and cellophane tape for this poster. Overall, I am quite satisfied with my poster after a lot of time and hard work have been spent on it.

Dota 2

After months of waiting, finally I have been invited to play Dota 2!!!

For those of you who have not get Dota 2 Beta Key, there are several steps that you need to do in order to obtain Beta Key. First, please visit http://store.steampowered.com/  to install Steam and register for an ID. After that, you have to visit Dota 2 offical website http://blog.dota2.com/ to sign up for a Dota 2 invite by clicking the green button on right hand side of this page with 'sign up for a Dota 2 invite' written on it. The final step is you have to join any beta keys giveaway event on https://www.facebook.com/OfficialDota2. If you are lucky, you will receive beta key. Beta key is not a password, it is just enable you to play Dota 2 on Steam and Dota 2 and Dota 2 test are available in Library of your Steam platform after you received an email from Steam Support.

The image below tells you that you are now able to play Dota 2 on Steam after you downloaded and installed it.

There are 6 tabs on the above which are Today, Updates, Play, Watch, Learn and Socialize. Image below is example of Today Tab.

You can choose to have a random-assigned match or AI mode by clicking Play. There are Matchmaking, Private Games and Learn To Play. Matchmaking enables you to play with other players from all over the world, while private games enables you to play Dota 2 on your own such as fighting Bots (previously known as AI in Dota 1). There are few steps to follow so that you can fight Bots. First, click ' CREATE LOBBY'. After that, click any slot that you want. Then, click 'GAME SETUP' on your right hand side. Then, tick "FILL IN EMPTY SLOTS WITH BOTS' and select your game difficulty-passive,easier,easy,normal or unfair. At last change your version to latest and click 'SAVE SETTINGS' and you can now start your game. 

On Watch tab, you can watch any Live or Recent games. 

On Learn tab, you can view any of 73 heroes, their descriptions, their skills and they can be grouped into Carry, Initiator, Support, Ganker and Pusher. 

There are no pretty much things that are available on Updates and Socialize Tab.
