Recently, I was being addicted to this web-based online game called Dragons of Atlantis. It is a strategic and farming game with cool graphic display. I have been playing this game for about 1 month. Now, I am going to provide some tips on how to become a good player in this game.
The buildings that you have to focus on are Garrisons, Muster Point, Sentinel and Homes. By building more Garrisons (about 10 to 12), you will able to train troops faster (Try not to upgrade it to level 10 because Fire Mirror is not as that good). Muster Point is the one which holds the maximum number of troops that you can send out for battle and if you have Ancestral Seal, upgrade it to level 11 and above. Homes increase your idle population which means you can train more troops( Try to build about 8 Homes). Sentinel informs you when someone is spying or attacking your city (Try to upgrade it to level 9).
Build more Lumbermill and Mine in your Field as both of these resources are needed in greater quantity for training troops and upgrading buildings. Do not focus on Farm because your food production sure be negative when you have large number of troops.
2) Research
Please focus on Agriculture, Woodcraft, Masonry and Alloys if you are a beginner. Besides that, upgrade Weapons Calibration, Metallurgy and Medicine to higher level so that you have a higher probability to win in battles for max slow troops(walking troops especially Longbowman). In addition, upgrade Mercantilism to higher level as it allows you to do more trade in Trading Post and sometimes some elite players are selling resources at very cheap price. If you have been playing this game for more than 2 weeks, do upgrade Clairvoyance and Rapid Development to higher level. Upgrade Clairvoyance to level 6 is enough if you wish to attack a small city. Try to upgrade Rapid Development to higher level if you have free time as it allows your max slow troops to travel faster.
If you have created Spectral Ruins, you can focus on Warrior Revival and Guardian Revival research.By reaching level 10 of both of these researches, you can revive maximum of 50% of fallen troops.
3) Troops
If you are a beginner, train more Longbowman and Armored Transport. 100,000 Longbowman and about 25000 Armored Transport is enough for conquering cities and finding Dragon Eggs and Dragon Armors. After that, you have to focus on max speed troops. Train more Swift Strike Dragon (about 60000)and Battle Dragon (about 40000) for attacking a city which is very far away from you.
If you have your max speed troops done, focus on special troops that can only be trained in Outposts. Fangtooth, Granite Ogre and Soul Reaper are excellent defending troops, meanwhile Lava Jaw is good at hunting Anthropus Talismans from Anthropus Camp and Banshee is good at speed attacking. ( Soul Reapers are able to steal soul if they survived from enemies attacks, for example, 100 of them survived from battle, you will have about 100 souls that can be revived given that number of enemy's troops exceed 100. Another special ability of Soul Reaper is it cannot be defeated by Wraith Dragon)
4) Elemental Dragon Eggs
Finding an Elemental Dragon Egg is depending on your luck. If you are lucky, you can get the egg in less than 10 attacks. If you are not lucky, you will probably get the egg in days or weeks even though you are using wave attack (sending out troops to one location continuously). The easiest way to get the egg is by using wave attack. If you are a beginner which has less than 10k troops, send out all the troops to the closest level 7 or above wilderness first, then divide the troops into teams according to the number of elemental dragon you have. After that, send out one team by one team including your great dragon and elemental dragon in your marches. The higher the level of wilderness, the higher the probability of finding a dragon egg. Pictures below are reports of elemental dragon eggs that have been found.
5) Elemental Dragon Armors
There are four pieces of armors for each elemental dragon. In order to get easier to find the dragon armors, just hit the wilderness where you found the dragon eggs. They are much easier to get when you have upgraded your Dragon to level 8. Pictures below show the dragon armors.
